What we do

Four core services, each built around keeping your vehicle looking new through mountain weather and mountain roads. Most vehicles leave with two of them.

Film

Paint Protection Film

Rock chips stop at the film.

Self-healing urethane film on the panels that take the most abuse — hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors — so gravel on Rabbit Ears and sand on 40 never reach the paint.

  • Full-front, track-pack and full-body coverage
  • Self-healing top coat — swirls and light scratches disappear with heat
  • Headlights, door cups, rocker panels and A-pillars
  • Edges wrapped and seams tucked, not visible from three feet
  • Gloss or matte finish over factory paint

Wrap

Vinyl Wrap

A new color, without touching the paint.

Full or partial color change in cast vinyl, cut and laid clean. Reversible when you sell, and rated for the UV and freeze-thaw a Routt County vehicle actually sees.

  • Full and partial color change
  • Satin, matte, gloss and textured finishes
  • Roof, hood, chrome delete and accent wraps
  • Business and fleet graphics
  • Removable — factory paint stays protected underneath

Tint

Window Tint

Cuts the glare off the snowpack.

Ceramic and carbon window film that blocks heat and UV without the bubbling, fading or purple haze you get from cheap film — shrunk and cut to each window.

  • Ceramic and carbon film options
  • Heat and glare rejection without a dark look
  • Blocks UV that fades interiors and skin
  • Colorado-legal shade guidance for every window
  • Windshield sun strip and full-windshield options

Coating

Ceramic Coating

Mag chloride rinses off instead of bonding on.

A hydrophobic ceramic layer over corrected paint that keeps mud, salt and road grime from sticking — so a winter wash is a rinse, and the shine lasts more than one season.

  • Multi-stage decontamination and paint correction first
  • Hydrophobic, easy-rinse finish
  • Resists mag chloride, road salt and UV
  • Wheels, glass, trim and PPF can be coated too
  • Multi-year durability with simple aftercare

Built for this valley

Steamboat's roads are hard on a vehicle — gravel washboard, winter sand and salt, UV at altitude that fades paint faster than it would at sea level. We built Elemental Auto around that reality: every service is chosen because it holds up here, not just in a showroom.

Whether it's a daily driver or something you only bring out for powder days, we treat it the same — careful prep, clean install, and a finish that's built to last a Routt County winter.

  • Chosen for the conditions

Film, vinyl and coatings are picked for freeze-thaw, mag chloride and high-altitude UV, not for what's cheapest by the roll.

  • Prep is most of the job

Decontamination and paint correction come before anything goes on, because film and coatings lock in whatever is under them.

  • Downtown, not a franchise

One shop on Lincoln Avenue. The people who quote the job are the people who do it, and the same ones you call afterward.

  • Honest about what you need

If a front-end film and a coating do the job, we won't sell you a full wrap. If it won't hold up, we'll say so before you spend.

How an appointment goes

Five steps, start to finish. Most of the hours are in step three, which is why the result lasts.

  1. 1

    Tell us about the vehicle

Year, make, model, and what's bugging you — chips, glare, salt, or a color you're tired of. Send photos if it's easy. We reply with a recommendation, not a menu.

  2. 2

    Get a straight quote

One price, the film or coating we'd use, and how long we'll have the vehicle. If a cheaper option does the job, we'll say so.

  3. 3

    Prep

Wash, decontaminate, and correct the paint. Most of the hours in any job are here, because film and coatings lock in whatever is underneath them.

  4. 4

    Install

Film, vinyl, tint or coating goes on in a clean, controlled bay — edges wrapped, seams tucked, glass shrunk to fit.

  5. 5

    Cure and hand-off

It cures in the shop, then we walk you through aftercare: when to wash, how, and what to avoid. Questions later? Same people, same phone number.

What comes through the shop

If it drives in Routt County, it's a candidate. These are the two kinds of vehicle we see most, and what usually makes sense for each.

Daily drivers and mountain rigs

The vehicles that do the school run, the pass and the trailhead — where film on the front end and a coating everywhere pay off fastest.

  • Subarus, 4Runners and Tacomas
  • Half-ton and heavy-duty trucks
  • Sprinter, Transit and camper vans
  • Side-by-sides and sleds
  • Work trucks and small fleets
  • Anything that lives on gravel

New deliveries, performance and luxury

Fresh paint is the best surface we ever get. Protect it in the first week and the car looks delivered for years.

  • New vehicles straight from the dealer
  • Performance and sports cars
  • Luxury SUVs and EVs
  • Color changes and chrome deletes
  • Matte and satin finishes
  • Second-home cars kept in the valley

Common questions

The ones we answer on the phone most weeks. Anything else, ask when you request a quote.

Our shop is at 1850 Lincoln Ave in downtown Steamboat Springs. Most of our vehicles come from Steamboat, Hayden, Oak Creek, Clark and Craig, and plenty of second-home owners bring a car up for the week and have the work done while they're here.
