Vinyl Wrap
A new color, without touching the paint.
A vinyl wrap changes the color or finish of your vehicle with cast vinyl laid over the factory paint. Elemental Auto cuts and installs full color changes, partial wraps, roofs and hoods, chrome deletes and business graphics in Steamboat Springs.
What's included
- Full and partial color change
- Satin, matte, gloss and textured finishes
- Roof, hood, chrome delete and accent wraps
- Business and fleet graphics
- Removable — factory paint stays protected underneath
Why it matters up here
UV at 6,700 feet fades cheap vinyl fast, and freeze-thaw cycles lift bad edges. We use cast film rated for it and wrap edges properly so the finish holds up to summer sun and winter scraping alike.
How the appointment goes
We strip and decontaminate every surface the vinyl touches, remove trim and hardware where a clean edge needs it, then lay, post-heat and reassemble. A full color change is typically three to five days. Avoid washing for the first week while the adhesive sets.
Wrap questions
- Does a wrap damage the paint?
- No — on factory paint in good condition, a properly installed and removed wrap protects the paint underneath. Repainted or peeling surfaces are the exception, and we check for that before quoting.
- How long does a wrap last?
- Several years with reasonable care. Hand-washing, keeping it out of automatic brush washes and not letting mag chloride sit on it all extend the life.
- Can you wrap just part of the vehicle?
- Yes — roofs, hoods, mirrors, chrome deletes and accent stripes are common. Partial wraps are a good way to change the look without the cost of a full color change.
